Proposals
Session/Presentation Proposal
The Science in Soccer Conference welcomes ALL attendees to exchange knowledge during the conference. There are many chances for experts in the field to share their experiences (Classroom Presentations, Poster Presentation, Field Session, Panel Discussion, Workshops, Student Research Presentation Competition, and the Big Data Cup). To be selected to present, each person or group must submit their proposal in the form of an abstract to the appropriate session (Classroom Presentation, Poster, Field, and Student Research Presentation). Submit as many proposals as you are interested in sharing, there is no limit.
Submissions should follow the guidelines below:
By submission of an abstract you are agreeing to present if, and as, scheduled within the conference program.
As a presenter of any program (poster, field session, presentation, or student research presentation), you are also agreeing to purchase a ticket. These are not complimentary.
Abstracts may or may not be for current or finished research. Abstract proposals can also be for best practices in your field demonstrating how science is impacting your players, yourself, your team, or the game.
The presenting author for the abstract submitted should be the first author of the submission.
Presentations should answer one of these two questions:
How do you use data science to inform your decision-making in your environment?
How do theories inform your understanding or decision-making in your environment?
Abstracts should include a title, names and affiliations of all authors, and introduce the substance of your presentation (e.g., background, aim, methods, results, and conclusion for research OR your context, problem you faced, innovation you created, and how this can impact others for best practice).
Abstracts are restricted to 500 words (not including title, authors, or affiliations).
Abstract proposals will open on December 21, 2024
Deadline for abstract proposals will close on March 28, 2025
Authors will be notified of their decision on April 13, 2025
